In this lesson with Sue we explored contouring the face. I was working on Leah.
The first step we did was the bases. I firstly matched the foundation to my partners skin. I used the ivory colour and a bit of the Illamasqua white base mixed in which gave me the perfect colour for her skin tone. After applying the foundation, I used a lighter colour from the camouflage mini palette for the concealer.
I then used a lighter foundation colour (which I created by mixing more Illamasqua white base in with the foundation) to put on the areas which I would highlight. I applied it to the top of the cheek bones, the nose and the forehead. To contour, I used a darker foundation on the areas which I wanted to look deeper, so the underneath of the cheek bones, the top of the forehead and the sides of the nose. I wanted to create a slight, natural shadow to make her features more defined. I then finished off the look by using the kryolan powder palette to lightly bronze and blush the cheeks for more definition.
