For my Elizabethan design I wanted to keep it traditional but with a pop of colour. I started the look of by moisturising my face with the nivea day cream. I then used a Rimmel lasting finish primer to prime my whole face, including my eyelids and lips. I then used the Illamasqua white skin base to cover the whole of my face, making sure I didn't leave any patchy areas. I put two layers of the skin base on because it was quite sheer and patchy. I used the white kryolan supra-colour over my lips and used a mascara wand to brush the supra-colour into my eyebrows. I brushed my eyebrows backwards to cover as much of the brows as possible. Following that, I used the illamasqua translucent powder and put this all over my face.
I used the kryolan eyeshadow compact in red to draw circles on my cheeks as blusher. Bright rounded cheeks was a big thing for the Elizabethans and was also a very traditional, every day look for the upper class women. Then using an orange colour from the compact I used a small urban decay eye shadow brush and put the orange eyeshadow only in the crease of my eyelid, leaving the rest white. This isn't a necessary Elizabethan ideal but I wanted to incorporate some more colour to the look and oranges were very in for the Elizabethans.
