EYE SHAPES AND LIPS

In Sues lesson we explored different eye shapes, eyebrows and lips. I was working on Leah and we decided that Leah had even eyes so therefore I would shade the outer edge of the socket line and lift slightly. I needed to highlight both the lid and brow bone. Softly line the top and bottom lids, lifting slightly on outer edges.

I decided to create a natural look using the kryolan ultra-foundation palette. I mixed ivory with the illamasqua skin base to create a paler colour to match Leah's skin.

I kept the eye shapes taped to the mirror so I could look back at the shape every now and again.

I used the Mac cool neutral palette shades after dusk and blackberry to create this look. I wasn't happy with how the eyes looks so sue helped me by showing me how blending a lot helps any look better. As you can see below.

I used the kryolan lip rouge mini palette in LC010, to create this lip look. I used an angled brush to make lines down the lip and then blended it in to the rest of the lip.

I used the Mac palette colour Brun on the eyebrows but only lightly touched the eyebrow hairs and was careful not to touch the skin. I finally used a plain black mascara and a clean mascara want to brush down and then up on the eyelashed to give them more length. Luckily, my client had lovely long eyelashes to begin with so I barely needed to put any mascara on them.

In the end I was happy with my look but next time I will be sure to blend the eyeshadow out a lot before layering and colouring in the crease.
