I found working with a partner fairly easy. Although I was given the face charts a few days before the assessment, me and my partner had good communication and worked well together. We didn't get a lot of practice in either but when it came to the final assessment, we'd given each other enough information to create the design to the best of our abilities.
Although my partners design was great - I found it extremely hard to recreate. I don't think my partner had tried it out before giving me the face chart because the makeup she instructed to use didn't work well together and the supracolour was a nightmare to use on top of a white base and whilst trying to put a shadow around the black areas.
I developed my research by exploring more than just makeup artists and explored fashion designers such as Alexander Wang. I looked at this shoot because it had aspects of the makeup and material of the clothing that related to Elizabethan beauty and fashion. I really enjoyed this project.
