Me and my partner, Kate, didn't get a lot of practice in which I think reflected badly on my performance. This was my first attempt at my partners design. My initial thoughts on her look was that it looked very difficult and different to anything i've done before, however, I really liked the look of it. Once I started practicing the design I found it extremely hard to get the black sections to how she wanted them. I could get both sides to match and it made me really frustrated. The eyes were really simple and I enjoyed doing them. The eyebrows, she wanted black, but because of the white base, the black kept smudging and going all over the place so I kept having to use a cotton bud to wipe away any excess. I find Supra colour really hard to work with anyway so this design was a big task for me. I couldn't quite grasp how to do the shadows because every time I went to put the shadows on the supracolour smudges and created a massive mess. I did like her design but there were no clear instructions on how to create the look. When I asked her what products she used, she said "It's the supra colour white as a base, then black supra colour for the for head and cheeks, with a grey or black shadow for the contour/shadows & the illamasqua gold for the eyes and lips and white supra colour for lashes and the black supra for the brows". This gave me a slight idea about how to create the look but when put into practice the products didn't work well together which made the outcome slightly disappointing. I'm disappointed in myself that I didn't do the design how she wanted nor how I wanted.
